Al-Ma'un
The Small Kindnesses
الماعونDescribes the moral bankruptcy that follows denial of the Hereafter, condemning both open disbelievers and outwardly religious people whose worship is empty of genuine care for others.

أَرَءَيْتَHave you seen
ٱلَّذِىthe one who
يُكَذِّبُdenies
بِٱلدِّينِthe Judgment
١
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?
2
فَذَٲلِكَThen that
ٱلَّذِى(is) the one who
يَدُعُّrepulses
ٱلْيَتِيمَthe orphan
٢
For that is the one who drives away the orphan
3
وَلَاAnd (does) not
يَحُضُّfeel the urge
عَلَىٰto
طَعَامِfeed
ٱلْمِسْكِينِthe poor
٣
And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

فَوَيْلٌۭSo woe
لِّلْمُصَلِّينَto those who pray

So woe to those who pray
5
ٱلَّذِينَThose who
هُمْ[they]
عَنabout
صَلَاتِهِمْtheir prayers
سَاهُونَ(are) neglectful
5
[But] who are heedless of their prayer -
6
ٱلَّذِينَThose who
هُمْ[they]
يُرَآءُونَmake show
٦
Those who make show [of their deeds]
7
وَيَمْنَعُونَAnd they deny
ٱلْمَاعُونَ[the] small kindnesses
٧
And withhold [simple] assistance.
