The Abundance
الكوثرConsoles the Prophet during his most difficult early years by promising him abundant good, in contrast to his opponents who mocked him as one cut off without descendants or legacy.

إِنَّآIndeed, We
أَعْطَيْنَـٰكَWe have given you
ٱلْكَوْثَرَAl-Kauthar

Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muḥammad], al-Kawthar.

فَصَلِّSo pray
لِرَبِّكَto your Lord
وَٱنْحَرْand sacrifice
٢
So pray to your Lord and offer sacrifice [to Him alone].

إِنَّIndeed
شَانِئَكَyour enemy
هُوَhe (is)
ٱلْأَبْتَرُthe one cut off
٣
Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.
