The Disbelievers
الكافرونDraws a firm line between Islam and disbelief, declaring that there can be no compromise or blending between the Prophet's faith and the practices of the idolaters.

قُلْSay
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO
ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَdisbelievers
١
Say, "O disbelievers,

لَآNot
أَعْبُدُI worship
مَاwhat
تَعْبُدُونَyou worship
٢
I do not worship what you worship.
3
وَلَآAnd not
أَنتُمْyou
عَـٰبِدُونَ(are) worshippers
مَآ(of) what
أَعْبُدُI worship
٣
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
4
وَلَآAnd not
أَنَا۠I am
عَابِدٌۭa worshipper
مَّا(of) what
عَبَدتُّمْyou worship

Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.

وَلَآAnd not
أَنتُمْyou
عَـٰبِدُونَ(are) worshippers
مَآ(of) what
أَعْبُدُI worship
٥
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.
6
لَكُمْFor you
دِينُكُمْ(is) your religion
وَلِىَand for me
دِينِ(is) my religion
٦
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."
