The Traducer
الهمزةCondemns backbiting, slander, and the hoarding of wealth as vices common among the materialistic elite of pre-Islamic society, and warns of their fate in the Hereafter.

وَيْلٌۭWoe
لِّكُلِّto every
هُمَزَةٍۢslanderer
لُّمَزَةٍbackbiter
1
Woe to every scorner and mocker
2
ٱلَّذِىThe one who
جَمَعَcollects
مَالًۭاwealth
وَعَدَّدَهُۥand counts it
2
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
3
يَحْسَبُThinking
أَنَّthat
مَالَهُۥٓhis wealth
أَخْلَدَهُۥwill make him immortal
٣
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
4
كَلَّاۖNay
لَيُنۢبَذَنَّSurely he will be thrown
فِىin
ٱلْحُطَمَةِthe Crusher
٤
No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.
5
وَمَآAnd what
أَدْرَٮٰكَwill make you know
مَاwhat
ٱلْحُطَمَةُthe Crusher (is)
٥
And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

نَارُA Fire
ٱللَّهِAllah
ٱلْمُوقَدَةُkindled
٦
It is the fire of Allāh, [eternally] fueled,
7
ٱلَّتِىWhich
تَطَّلِعُmounts up
عَلَىto
ٱلْأَفْــِٔدَةِthe hearts
٧
Which mounts directed at the hearts.
8
إِنَّهَاIndeed, it
عَلَيْهِم(will be) upon them
مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭclosed over

Indeed, it [i.e., Hellfire] will be closed down upon them
9
فِىIn
عَمَدٍۢcolumns
مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭextended
