Ad-Duhaa
The Morning Hours
الضحىConsoles the Prophet during a pause in revelation, reassuring him that Allah has not forsaken him and that his hardship will soon give way to ease.

وَٱلضُّحَىٰBy the morning brightness
١
By the morning brightness
2
وَٱلَّيْلِAnd the night
إِذَاwhen
سَجَىٰit covers with darkness
٢
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,
3
مَاNot
وَدَّعَكَhas forsaken you
رَبُّكَyour Lord
وَمَاand not
قَلَىٰHe is displeased
٣
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muḥammad], nor has He detested [you].
4
وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُAnd surely the Hereafter
خَيْرٌۭ(is) better
لَّكَfor you
مِنَthan
ٱلْأُولَىٰthe first
4
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
5
وَلَسَوْفَAnd soon
يُعْطِيكَwill give you
رَبُّكَyour Lord
فَتَرْضَىٰٓthen you will be satisfied
٥
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
6
أَلَمْDid not
يَجِدْكَHe find you
يَتِيمًۭاan orphan
فَـَٔاوَىٰand give shelter

Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?
7
وَوَجَدَكَAnd He found you
ضَآلًّۭاlost
فَهَدَىٰso He guided
7
And He found you lost and guided [you],
8
وَوَجَدَكَAnd He found you
عَآئِلًۭاin need
فَأَغْنَىٰso He made self-sufficient
8
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.
9
فَأَمَّاSo as for
ٱلْيَتِيمَthe orphan
فَلَاthen (do) not
تَقْهَرْoppress
٩
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].
10
وَأَمَّاAnd as for
ٱلسَّآئِلَone who asks
فَلَاthen (do) not
تَنْهَرْrepel
١٠
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
11
وَأَمَّاBut as for
بِنِعْمَةِ(the) Favor
رَبِّكَ(of) your Lord
فَحَدِّثْnarrate
١١
But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
