The Relief
الشرحContinues to console and encourage the Prophet, promising that with every hardship comes relief, and instructing him to turn to his Lord alone once his work is done.

أَلَمْHave not
نَشْرَحْWe expanded
لَكَfor you
صَدْرَكَyour breast
١
Did We not expand for you, [O Muḥammad], your breast?
2
وَوَضَعْنَاAnd We removed
عَنكَfrom you
وِزْرَكَyour burden
٢
And We removed from you your burden
3
ٱلَّذِىٓWhich
أَنقَضَweighed upon
ظَهْرَكَyour back
٣
Which had weighed upon your back
4
وَرَفَعْنَاAnd We raised high
لَكَfor you
ذِكْرَكَyour reputation
٤
And raised high for you your repute.
5
فَإِنَّSo indeed
مَعَwith
ٱلْعُسْرِthe hardship
يُسْرًا(is) ease
٥
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief].

إِنَّIndeed
مَعَwith
ٱلْعُسْرِthe hardship
يُسْرًا(is) ease
٦
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
7
فَإِذَاSo when
فَرَغْتَyou have finished
فَٱنصَبْthen labor hard
٧
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
8
وَإِلَىٰAnd to
رَبِّكَyour Lord
فَٱرْغَبturn your attention
٨
And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
