The Fig
التينAffirms that Allah created man in the best of forms, then warns of the fall that follows when that dignity is squandered through disbelief and wrongdoing.

وَٱلتِّينِBy the fig
وَٱلزَّيْتُونِand the olive

By the fig and the olive
2
وَطُورِAnd (the) Mount
سِينِينَSinai
٢
And [by] Mount Sinai
3
وَهَـٰذَاAnd this
ٱلْبَلَدِ[the] city
ٱلْأَمِينِ[the] secure
٣
And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],
4
لَقَدْIndeed
خَلَقْنَاWe created
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَman
فِىٓin
أَحْسَنِ(the) best
تَقْوِيمٍmould
٤
We have certainly created man in the best of stature;
5
ثُمَّThen
رَدَدْنَـٰهُWe returned him
أَسْفَلَ(to the) lowest
سَـٰفِلِينَ(of the) low
٥
Then We return him to the lowest of the low,

إِلَّاExcept
ٱلَّذِينَthose who
ءَامَنُواْbelieve
وَعَمِلُواْand do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِrighteous deeds
فَلَهُمْthen for them
أَجْرٌ(is a) reward
غَيْرُnever
مَمْنُونٍending
٦
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

فَمَاThen what
يُكَذِّبُكَcauses you to deny
بَعْدُafter (this)
بِٱلدِّينِthe judgment
٧
So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?
8
أَلَيْسَIs not
ٱللَّهُAllah
بِأَحْكَمِ(the) Most Just
ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ(of) the Judges
٨
Is not Allāh the most just of judges?
